The first score was done with an orchestra alone but was rejected by Tarkovsky. The film had been shot on new Kodak 5247 stock with which Soviet laboratories were not very familiar. By the time the film stock defect was discovered, Tarkovsky had shot all the outdoor scenes and had to abandon them. Human construct? The film was premiered in 2014 to critical acclaim. In Schager's view, Stalker shows "something akin to the essence of what man is made of: a tangled knot of memories, fears, fantasies, nightmares, paradoxical impulses, and a yearning for something that's simultaneously beyond our reach and yet intrinsic to every one of us. When the Stalker, the Writer, and the Professor set off from the bar in an off-road vehicle, the engine noise merges into an electronic tone. Slacker The journey in the Zone ends with the three sitting in the room, silent, with no audible sound.

5E RHINOCEROS MOVIE
This is a movie only a young person could make. Discogs should sync these two releases, as it does appear they were pressed and released in tandem in 1979.Neither in the novel nor in the film do the women enter the Zone. This pressing is one of a few 1979 Candy-O issues pressed with a red/black Elecktra label, not the more common all-red Candy-O label. Sides 1 & 2 each have a "Sterling" stamper in the dead wax. This pressing pretty clearly appears to have been pressed at the same time as this 1979 pressing - as the unique labels are identical, with a slightly different dead wax matrix. Don't hesitate if you find an inexpensive copy of this pressing. The sound on this pressing is fantastic, super quiet vinyl, no clicks, pops or static - a very enjoyable listen with crisp, clear, engaging sound. The inner is not the glossy paper inner with the band photo/track list/lyrics as shown with most pressings here. The only odd feature about this pressing is the matte paper inner sleeve with an "Elektra" red/black/white company inner, the design of which mimics the red/black/white record label. Discogs should sync these two releases, as it does appear they were pressed and released in tandem in 1979. Sides 1 & 2 both have a "Sterling" stamper in the dead wax. The $3.99 Record Bar price sticker is consistent with new LP prices in 1979 - by the early 1980s, new LP prices rose to around $5. The "Record Bar" is a now-defunct chain retailer that operated from the 1960s until the late 1980s. My copy has a "Record Bar $3.99 RB 4" sticker on the shrink, top right. "The Cars Candy-O" appears only on the jacket spine. This issue has neither the "The Cars Candy-O" hype sticker on the vinyl nor is it printed on the front jacket. I acquired a new/sealed copy of this pressing, still in the shrink wrap.
